Pedro moved forward in his career by teaching ceramics to adults and children at the Manhattan Art Center in Manhattan, Kansas. He is also the ceramics art studio manager, where he runs the kilns, mixes glazes, and makes clay from dry, reclaimed clay.
Pedro’s first gallery exhibition was at The Mark A. Chapman Gallery at Kansas State University. He celebrated his art beginnings with a show of graffiti and sculptures depicting tools of the trade. Plaster and cardboard were used to make his pieces, with flowing forms bringing his graffiti work into the room with motion and color.
